  When students in Newark public schools can read and do simple arithmetic by high school graduation, I will worry about teenagers at the border. How can I not worry about AlQaeda when the US can't close its borders. As long as there are hungry Americans, I don't care about the crowds at the border. As Americans our first responsibility should be towards other Americans. I see this country losing ground.

  Let Bill Gates or someone solve the problem in other countries. There are only so many resources available. Before too much longer, business will play only Spanish. We won't have the option of choosing English. Asians, Russians, whatever work on integration. Their children work almost too hard in school. Would I go to France and demand American as the language? No. There needs to be a large compromise. I don't see a politician on either side who has the guts to fashion a solution.

  here's an interesting excerpt from forged by bart ehrman (pay particular attention to the last sentence):.

  Elaine Pagels wrote a book about Revelation this past year. I wrote a short review. St. Athanasius used Revelation to fight against the Christian father mystics in the Egyptian desert. Most Church fathers found it embarassing. Pagels writes that Revelation was a completely failed prophecy. Rome is seen as the destroyer of virtuouss Christians. Not too long after Revelation was written, Constantine converted. Rome n ow sheltered Christians. Most of the bishops had spent many years in hard exile. Now they lived as princes in palaces. Revelation would have been forgotten but for Athansius of Athansius Creed. He needed it to crush St. Anthony. Rome was no longer the enemy. Christians who did not obey their bishops in all detail became evil. Oh, how I wish the Fathers had crushed Revelation.

  Can anyone give me any advice on how to get rid of cockroaches?

  i have sprayed, i have bug bombed, i have sprayed some more.

  i threw things out i thought that they might have a nest in.

  i soaked some things in hot water all day.

  I've heard they are attracted to paper and glue. Yet I don't recall my books drawing many. I had a problem this year until exterminator agencies changed. People can't let anything moist around. You are supposed to dry your sinks. If this new powder works the way boric acid does, you see them losing ground and falling to the ground. One week showed incredible results. I am glad if there is something new b/c they just evolve.

  Adopt the attitude that you will eradicate them. Trust fund kids seem to enjoy them. Not me!

  How do you discern a medium or a spirit compared to holy communication from God. We had voice hearers here. The law does not state what factors are important. Get with the political direction or be stoned.

  Writing campaign to Washington DC papers in view of International Convention

  ive heard from a credible source that the landover (dc) international convention is important to the society in view of the 100 year anniversary of "kingdom rule" and the location being near the capital of the "seventh world power".

  perhaps they hope this particular international sends a message.

  we know that come convention time usually there is some feel good fluff piece in the newspapers about the watchtower religion.

  Someone posted a letter that was published in a UK local paper. I found it very moving. The New York Times would object to most of the content here. Calling the WT the worst of all, the most evil,will guarantee that the piece will not be published. I keep thinking of what to use. Personal experiences stand out. I've thought of various angles but I am uncertain. How would the NYT not cover it? They don't cover it. I believe they reported a protest at Bethel over twenty years ago. New Jersey did not exist until the fed govt. made them go to New Jersey.

  Every NYT edition has the op-ed feature. I encourage as many people as possible to try. This freedom from religion theory never gets much discussion in the United States. Freedom of religion exists in Europe today.

  There is debate inside the New York Times as part of the digital edition.

  I wonder if you are not close to the nest. If you rent, an exterminator should be part of the rent you pay. If you own, it is much better. You can select your exterminator and choose the method you want to use. There has to be a solution. Perhaps you need to research more about them to find a better battle strategy. The law school told me nothing could be done. I said I doubt that Jackie Kennedy or Rockefellers put up with vermin. My roommate studied roaches and humans at Harvard. They have certain traits that fry our brains. Don't give up.

  Boric acid works. My mom speaking to the extermination agency owner also helped. He gave us stronger bait b/c he felt we woulld be careful. The boric acid may be working against humans. I saw an ad for it in The Washington Post. I've lived in Manhattan for decades. There is no need to put up with them. It is a manageable problem. Many NYers feel the commercial sprays make the roaches stronger. Oh, you want to cover any holes with steel wool and spackle. Fellow tenants may not mind living with roaches. I've heard cats are good, too. After covering holes and using the boric acid I would see one every few years.

  No! We no longer have open frontiers in this country. There is not the infrastructure to support the illegal immigrants. We need educated immigrants to contribute to our society. When all American born children receive an excellent education, we should revisit illegal immigration. I never thought I would hold these positions. My family immigrated from Northern Europe. They learned English. Integration in American society was their goal. The Spanish option on phones infuriates me. It should be English, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Viet Namese, etc. and Spanish. American culture will die soon.

  I did some work for undocumented workers. Frankly, I don't know enough to form an opinion. These are my gut feelings. The great years of immigration heraleded by the Statute of Liberty have passed. Why we can't close our borders better is beyond me.

  mass immigration in the world "seems" to have led to a rise in anti -semitism in the west.

  france now has more than six million muslims.. germany now has four million muslims.

  the netherlands has almost one million muslims .

  The scapegoat in the Old Testament who carries the sins of Israael. Scapegoat is not limited to Jewish practice. It appears to be part of human DNNA. It is very scary.
